Bach: Sonatas for Violin and Harpsichord & Works by Froberger, Handel, and Telemann

Johann Sebastian Bach's sonatas for violin and obbligato harpsichord are often overshadowed by his solo works, even though he intensively explored these six pieces throughout his life – notable for the equal role played by both instruments.

Isabelle Faust and Kristian Bezuidenhout, who have enjoyed a long-standing artistic partnership, ideally express this close musical partnership, presenting the sonatas over two evenings in the Pierre Boulez Hall in a fascinating dialogue with works by Bach's predecessors and contemporaries.
