A Trip in Five Pictures

What grows, crawls, flows, and makes sounds in secret? How do we gain access to invisible worlds, and how do we bring inner images to life?

Through touch, sensation, and description, two performers explore the world beneath their feet using materials and sounds, following traces into the invisible and speculating about what lies hidden there.

“unsichtbar” is Schaubude Berlin’s new in-house production and the theater’s first production created with a team of blind and sighted artists.

Together with children from the Kreuzberg daycare center at Cuvrystr. 26 A, the artistic team embarked on research journeys into the world of roots. The sounds, movements, figures, and sketches discovered there flow into the production: “unsichtbar” stimulates the audience’s imagination and creates a multisensory cosmos through the interplay of puppetry, sound, and the stage.
