How, Where, What—Spaces!

This time, the event will take place in the outdoor area of disko Babel in Prenzlauer Berg. The focus of this event is the use of outdoor spaces and the “association” model for space management.

As part of the “How, Where, What—Spaces!” event series, this evening is designed to facilitate discussion and networking regarding general and individual space needs and offerings, as well as helpful resources for finding spaces in Berlin.

To this end, each event will feature various guest institutions that will introduce you to spaces or tools for finding space in Berlin. After the brief presentations, there will be time to chat over a drink.

If you’re looking for a space and have questions about available spaces, operator models, or application processes, you’ve come to the right place. At the same time, the event is also aimed at anyone who has their own spaces to offer or has practical know-how about finding spaces and would like to share it.

Program:

6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. – Presentations

• Urbane Praxis e. V. (event information, insights on spatial justice and a city oriented toward the common good), featuring: Dana Schneider, Urbane Praxis Network Office
• Berlin Workspace Program & Raumbüro Freie Szene (needs of the independent arts scene, current offerings, and calls for proposals), featuring: Moritz Sadowski and Laila Wiens, Raumbüro Freie Szene
• Presentation of disko Babel (operating model, current offerings, and calls for proposals), featuring: diskoBabel e.V.
• Presentation of Frachtkante (operating model, current offerings, and calls for proposals), featuring: khisdapaze e.V.
• Presentation of Raumsonde Berlin as a tool for finding and brokering spaces, with: Kollektiv Spieltrieb e.V.
