Friedrichstraße is a focal point of German history—from the Prussian monarchy and the Revolution of 1848 through the Golden Twenties to the Nazi era and the division of Germany.

On this city walking tour, the historic sites around Checkpoint Charlie, Gendarmenmarkt, the Tränenpalast, and the Berliner Ensemble come to life through stories and live music. At the original locations, songs from those eras are performed—serving as musical reflections of new beginnings, resistance, everyday life, and longing.

The program includes works by Hildegard Knef, Bertolt Brecht, Claire Waldoff, Wolf Biermann, Reinhard Mey, and Klaus Hoffmann, among others.
