On the way to the Museum of European Cultures, the Grunewald becomes an alpine learning landscape.

Together with Bernd Schröder from the Berlin chapter of the German Alpine Club, participants will embark on a roughly ten-kilometer hike that combines nature exploration with educational insights. Along the way, the tour will cover the formation of mountain landscapes by glaciers, the history of alpinism, and the connections between Tyrol and Berlin.

The hike ends in the garden of the Museum of European Cultures. There, participants will enjoy a shared snack—the Tyrolean version of a “Brotzeit.” This is included in the price.

Over a light snack, there will be an opportunity to chat and delve deeper into the topics.

Sturdy footwear and sufficient stamina for the hike are required.

  • Meeting point: Heerstraße S-Bahn station
  • Cost: 8 euros
  • Limited number of participants. Online registration required.

An event in cooperation with the Berlin Section of the German Alpine Club.
