A tour of this exhibition offers not only a glimpse into the museum’s collection, but also into the stories behind the objects from various eras—from the Middle Ages to the present day. What was the political context in which these objects were created? How and why did they find their way into the museum’s collection? What can they tell us about historical spaces, events, and processes?
Medieval armor, an engraved ostrich egg from the 17th century, or fragments of mining machinery and tools—like all the other exhibits, they tell stories and bear witness to history.
