Johanna Amelie & MULAY

Johanna Amelie is a new-folk indie musician and music producer from Berlin. Her songs are the perfect soundtrack for a long drive along the coast at sunset. Inspired by Regina Spektor, she launched her solo project at age 23 and has played over 300 concerts worldwide, including as the opening act for SEEED and on stages across Europe, Ghana, and New Zealand. In 2023, she was an artist in residence in Paris, and in 2026, she performed at the Goethe-Institut Montréal.

Together with artists such as Suzie Collier, Moritz Krämer, and Suli Puschban, she writes songs that blend indie pop with social commentary. Johanna has brought the music for two plays to the stage in Berlin and Zwickau and directs the ZARTCHOR Berlin. Since the beginning of her career, she has been actively committed to promoting visibility and equality in the music industry—including as a board member of Music Women* Germany, a curator at Music Family Hub, and a band member of Momcore. In May 2026, her latest single, “I SEE HER,” was released and premiered on BBC Radio London.

Mulay is a Berlin-based alternative R&B singer-songwriter, producer, and multidisciplinary artist who creates immersive worlds through music and visual art. In her cinematic sound, she blends soulful R&B, trip-hop, pop, and electronica while exploring themes such as identity, change, and vulnerability. As a Japanese-German adoptee, Mulay’s personal perspective on identity and belonging has significantly shaped her artistic work. After studying jazz and pop in the Netherlands and the United Kingdom, she moved to Berlin in 2018, where she developed her own distinctive artistic language.

Following her EPs *ANTRACYTE* (2021) and *IVORY* (2022) on Grönland Records, Mulay released her debut album *LAVENDER* in 2024, featuring standout tracks like “Half Human Half Dragon” and “kill the lonely.” The latter gained widespread attention after Fred again.. remixed the song live, thereby introducing Mulay’s music to an international audience as well as renowned artists and tastemakers. Since 2025, Mulay has also been expanding her work as a songwriter, collaborating with other artists and writing songs for them in addition to her own projects.

The concert is part of the “FLINTA* Voices” concert series. The project is sponsored by Musicboard Berlin GmbH.
