The Berlin Wall in the Märkisches Viertel – Stasi photos, press photos, and personal memories
Neighborhood reporter Lux has been collecting and editing private photos from Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania for quite some time. The Berlin Wall appears in these images time and again—sometimes seemingly by chance, sometimes as the central focus.
This exhibition juxtaposes these images with the Stasi’s photographic documentation of the border’s course.
The exhibition—curated by historian Elena Demke and neighborhood reporter Lux—will remain on view until October 3, 2026.
No registration required, free admission.
This event is part of the event series "My Neighborhood: Stories of Divided Berlin" organized by the BAB (Berlin Commissioner for the Reappraisal of the SED Dictatorship).
