Since the 1970s, Marina Abramović has been exploring rituals and transformations. Building on her *Balkan Erotic Epic* cycle, revised in 2025, the exhibition brings together new and historical works in which eroticism is used as a form of energy to explore the boundaries between the individual and the collective, and between life and death.

Through selected works, the curatorial tour traces how the artist uses endurance and ritual symbolism to negotiate her ambivalent relationship with socialist Yugoslavia, and how, in her more recent works, she examines both the cultural heritage and widespread clichés about the Balkan region through humorous, sometimes grotesque depictions and performances.
