Using selected objects, visitors will learn about the conservation challenges posed by paper – from acid damage and pests to ink corrosion and the ravages of time.
The tour demonstrates how historical and modern restoration methods intertwine and how craftsmanship, scientific analysis and digital technologies work together to preserve valuable cultural heritage for future generations. It also highlights the ethical considerations behind every decision – what can be restored, and what should remain visible?
