Graduates of music academies who have enjoyed excellent training as soloists are given the opportunity to familiarise themselves with an extraordinarily large opera repertoire at the Orchestra Academy: The most important works by Wagner, Puccini, Strauss and Verdi are on the programme every season at the Deutsche Oper Berlin, as well as a broad repertoire ranging from Mozart to late Romanticism and modernism.
The cultivation of chamber music is also a high priority. That is why one concert in the orchestra's chamber music series is organised by the academy musicians each season.
You can look forward to an individual evening organised by the young musicians together with their mentors.
2 hours / 1 intermission
