As part of the “Signs & Wonders” Biennial—on Faith, Hope, and Doubt—two visionary works come together, offering fresh perspectives on religion, identity, and hope. Mendelssohn’s “Reformation Symphony” blends Protestant tradition with Romantic expressiveness.

The second part features Noam Sheriff’s monumental oratorio *Mechaye Hametim* (“The Resurrection of the Dead”), one of the most significant works of 20th-century Israeli music—a moving exploration of memory, loss, and renewal.

Renowned performers will come together for this evening, including American baritone Eric Owens, New York cantor Azi Schwartz, the Moran Choirs from Israel, and the Hamburg Symphony Orchestra under Steven Sloane.
