Johann Sebastian Bach: St. Matthew Passion BWV 244

The Berlin Figural Choir is dedicated primarily to the music of the 17th and early 18th centuries. The very name says it all: "Figural" represents the artful polyphony of this period, in which multiple voices are interwoven on an equal footing, as well as virtuosic figurations with rapid, lively ornamentation that lend the music its special brilliance.
