Babelsberg Castle Concerts

Three concerts in the historic ballroom will set the stage for the castle’s special openings from August through October, featuring guided tours that explore the castle’s fascinating and previously overlooked historical and contemporary stories.

At this concert at Babelsberg Palace, the percussion duo Martin Krause and Richard Putz, along with soprano Adelya Zabarova, will create a purely acoustic “mental movie.” Through sophisticated percussion arrangements, masterpieces by Piazzolla, Di Meola, Smith, and Thrower tell their own unique, visually striking stories, ranging from a smoky tango bar to epic soundscapes. The intense compositions and fascinating instrumental timbres ignite vivid imagery in the audience’s imagination.

A concert series presented by the Prussian Palaces and Gardens Foundation Berlin-Brandenburg in cooperation with the German Film Orchestra Babelsberg.
