Piano Works by Debussy, Ravel, Mussorgsky, and Others
Raised in the culturally diverse border town of Gorizia between Italy and Slovenia, Alexander Gadjiev is an artist with many linguistic and musical expressions.
For his debut at the Pierre Boulez Saal, the pianist presents an extraordinary program with soundscapes from France and Russia.
Works by Claude Debussy, Maurice Ravel, and Olivier Messiaen meet Mussorgsky's Pictures at an Exhibition, complemented by his own improvisations and new compositions – including those by Guillem Palomar, a graduate of the Barenboim-Said Academy.
