21 Sounds transforms memories into sound. Together with the Zafraan Ensemble, classes from the Albert Einstein and Carl Friedrich von Siemens Gymnasium will present compositions they have created themselves.

By engaging with their personal memories and different sounds, fascinating pieces emerge. Over a period of three months, the students used not only classical instruments but also unusual materials and everyday objects in creative workshops to discover, experiment with, and weave new colors into unique sound worlds.

The concert combines emotional expressiveness, unconventional playing techniques and collaborative composition to create a vibrant, multifaceted musical experience.

The Zafraan Ensemble completes the evening with contemporary music, which also served as the starting point of the project. It is an inspiring sonic journey that shows how music makes personal stories audible and connects people.

The Zafraan Ensemble represents music that reflects today's life, society, and reality in all its facets. It explores and processes what surrounds us: the people, events, nature, technologies, normalities, and absurdities of today. The ensemble consists of ten instrumentalists from Spain, France, New Zealand, Australia, and Germany. Young musical talent plays an important role in the projects of the Zafraan Ensemble.
