Formed in 1988 in Sacramento, Deftones can now look back on a career with over 10 million records sold worldwide, more than 10 billion streams, and influential albums.
In August 2025, Deftones released their tenth studio album, *private music*, which climbed to No. 1 on the U.S. rock charts and No. 5 on the German album charts.
The album is nominated for “Best Rock Album” at the 2026 Grammy Awards. In early November, Deftones will host their own festival, Dia De Los Deftones, for the sixth time.
