Inspired by her experiences, Birgit Ziegler realized that words alone were not enough to convey what she had experienced to others.

So she began combining diving with photography. This made her experiences accessible to others.
Regine Ziegler’s diving trips have taken her to Egypt, Cuba, the Maldives, and various islands in Indonesia, among other places.
About the photographer:
- Born in 1960 in Berlin
- Attended school in the Treptow district and completed vocational training with a high school diploma in the Mitte district
- In 1991, completed training for non-technical administrative service in the Treptow-Köpenick district; worked, among other places, at the Treptow-Köpenick Cultural Office
- Since 2003, active in the Tempelhof-Schöneberg district
