Technical Landmarks of Aviation Research in Adlershof
Authorized personnel only! This exclusive tour opens doors that are normally off-limits. The impressive monuments to aviation research in Adlershof are usually closed to visitors. The GBSL e.V. will take you inside the test building of the Large Wind Tunnel and into the mysterious Trudelturm (spin tower).

What happens to an airplane at high altitudes in windy conditions? What must an engine be able to withstand? What is the correct wing angle? The association’s experts will answer all your questions.
Since 1912, Adlershof has been a significant site for the early days of German aviation. Modern test facilities were built here, particularly in the 1930s. From both an aeronautical and architectural perspective, these buildings are a highlight of industrial heritage!
This event is part of the Berlin Industrial Heritage Festival.

The Berlin Industrial Heritage Festival offers you the chance to experience the city in a whole new way. From 12 September to 4 October, around 100 events will bring the visible and invisible heritage of industrialisation to life.
