After just twelve years of National Socialist rule, Germany’s capital was unrecognizable. In their new book "Berlin under National Socialism", authors Christoph Kreutzmüller and Bjoern Weigel present a fragmented history of the city.
At the same time, it is a social history that examines many aspects of everyday life in Berlin and powerfully illustrates what was destroyed by Nazi policies.
The two authors turn their gaze to the pubs, the streets, and even the bedrooms of Berliners during the Nazi era, revealing just how deeply the regime and its ideology penetrated people's lives. At their reading, they will give the guests a glimpse into this world.
