What makes a woman “strong”? Is it the strength to assert herself, or the quiet perseverance to make her voice heard? Is it courageous resistance or gentle vulnerability?

Concert pianist Olga Shkrygunova and singer and violinist Iris Siegfried explore these questions in their new program, with which the two musicians return to this stage following the great success of their evening “Democratìa.”

The program weaves together classical music, original chansons, and stories about women. It features works in which women are celebrated, admired, or even misunderstood, as well as compositions by female artists who once had to fight for their place in music history.

A concert evening featuring pieces by Clara Schumann, Mel Bonis, Barbara Strozzi, Lili Boulanger, Prokofiev, Piazzolla, and others; an evening that also invites you to listen more closely to the softest notes.
