800 kilometers on foot
According to legend, the tomb of the Apostle James is located in Santiago de Compostela, in the far west of Spain. Since the Middle Ages, people have endured the hardships and dangers of a long pilgrimage here to pray for the forgiveness of their sins. Even today, the Way of St. James embodies the great longing of that time to take a break, leave everyday life behind, walk, and make progress under their own steam.
