The 8th International Accordion Festival PHILHARMONIKA will take place this year in Berlin as a peace festival From September 9 to 18, 2022, award-winning accordionists from Europe will meet, rehearse with string orchestras, and prepare for the gala concert on September 17, 2022, in the Chamber Music Hall of the Berlin Philharmonic Hall. As a second highlight of this year's festival, an open-air peace concert is planned for September 18 at the Brandenburg Gate.

The winner of the Piazzolla Music Competition 2021 - the "Quinteto Respiro" from France - as well as musicians from Italy, Austria, Russia and Ukraine are expected to attend this peace festival. The concerts, which will take place live and with an audience, and will also be recorded and streamed, are intended to send a signal of peace.
