Drop-in-workshop
Many of you have old and new cell phones at home that contain valuable sensors, metals, LEDs, and rare earth elements. At the Futurium Lab, these components will be examined in detail.
Using motors and sensors, you’ll develop and implement creative ideas for the future! As a family, you can playfully create sustainable products from the components of old cell phones. You’ll build prototypes, using the Calliope mini, Calli:bot, and Wackelbots along the way. You’ll use Open Roberta Lab for programming. Mentors will be on hand to answer any questions.
The drop-in format is open-ended and differs from traditional workshops. The plan is for you to spend about 20 minutes in the lab to get your first taste of the technology and the future-oriented topic. If it’s particularly crowded, not all participants may be able to try out every station. So be flexible and take the opportunity to dive into these exciting topics!
Cooperation
The drop-in format takes place as an “open Roberta project” in cooperation with the Fraunhofer Society for the Promotion of Applied Research e.V. for its Fraunhofer Institute for Intelligent Analysis and Information Systems IAIS.
