Growing up in East Berlin, he met Helga Paris in the punk and art scene of Prenzlauer Berg in the 1980s. Less well known is that she introduced him to photography and became an important mentor.
Sven Marquardt will discuss his creative beginnings, the upheaval following the fall of the Berlin Wall, and his current photographic work, which is shaped by Berlin's constant transformation. A fascinating dialogue about art, the city, and contemporary history.
