Art exhibition at Art Pavillon '61
Pavlina Eusterhus is a stage and costume designer in musical theatre. Born in Sofia, she has been living in Berlin-Schmargendorf for several years.
Her awareness of her dual identity influences her view of the world and her work.
"I am mostly inspired by everyday life and the repetitive situations it presents. I look for the angle that reveals invisible connections and relationships in our lives, on the threshold between the past and the present. I try to capture the moment that offers a new perspective and encourages the viewer to see the ordinary in a new light."
As a theatre artist, I am used to perceiving the world around me in scenes and lighting conditions. The photographic gaze is an inseparable part of the search for visual expression to convey a universal message.
