London was a popular travel destination for many artists and composers of the Viennese Classical period. Joseph Haydn visited there twice; he composed a total of twelve symphonies to achieve success in the British capital.
In this year's autumn concert, the Schöneberg Church District Orchestra will present No. 95 in C minor from this collection. The program will be rounded out with two rarely performed works by two other giants of the Viennese Classical period: Franz Schubert's "Salve Regina" in F major and Mozart's Concerto for Bassoon and Orchestra in B-flat major.
Experience Lennart Hansen (bassoon) and Johanna Kaldewei (soprano) as the renowned soloists this evening and join us on a journey between London and Vienna.
