Located in the north-eastern area of the Humboldt Forum between the Schlüterhof and the Spree side, the Deli ALEXANDER and the Restaurant WILHELM have the largest outdoor dining area in the Humboldt Forum. Guests can enjoy views of Schlüter's baroque sculptures, the eastern city centre or even Berlin Cathedral during their stay.
The concept is divided into two interconnected locations, which were built in close cooperation with the Humboldt Forum: The internationally oriented Deli Alexander and the casual fine-dining concept Restaurant Wilhelm with a historically inspired cuisine. An interplay of two orientations that is attractive for the most diverse target groups and events and sustainably enriches the range of offers at the Humboldt Forum.
Both venues are directly integrated into the exhibition concept of the Humboldt Forum: three of the 35 traces of important events and aspects of the history of the Humboldt Forum can be found in the rooms of the Wilhelm Alexander, such as kitchen utensils and plates from the Berlin Palace and the Palace of the Republic as well as the wall relief made of Meissen porcelain, which originally shone in a restaurant in the Palace of the Republic.
The Restaurant WILHELM celebrates a fine dining concept. The classic concept with table service has a total of 80 seating places indoors and approx. 100 outdoors and is expressed by the slogan “Simply the best, done skilfully.” The emphasis is on high-quality German-French à la carte cuisine. The regularly changing dishes are also based on various exhibitions in the museum itself. Its extensive seating and versatility makes the Restaurant WILHELM a particularly good venue for all sorts of events in addition to its classic function.
