Chamber music for bassoon and piano is extremely rare, but it is worth discovering. This evening's repertoire ranges from the classical sonata of J.E. Brandl to highly romantic salon pieces by E. Elgar and G. Pierne to completely forgotten pearls of the early 20th century. Rarely played and yet very charming - this is the motto of this program selection.
