Every summer, the Deutsches Theater Berlin presents the most exciting voices in contemporary drama at the ATT Festival. From June 6 to 20, eleven new plays from the German-speaking theater scene will be performed on the stages of the Deutsches Theater. The Berlin premieres of these guest performances will be accompanied by post-show discussions, summer gatherings and conversations on the forecourt, DJ sets, and concerts.

Writing and the stage have always been in a close yet tense relationship. Author-driven theater means exploring this dynamic and understanding it as a creative engine:

How must we conceive of theater so that it can be a good partner to playwrights? How do the great theatrical moments of our time emerge from the interplay between playwright and theater?
