international perspectives from the United States, Cuba, the Netherlands, the United Kingdom, and Germany

A wide variety of visual worlds emerge from the interplay of dream, memory, and atmosphere: the quiet, cinematic paintings of American artist Maxwell Dunlop; the poetic hybrid figures of Dutch artist Marie Louise Elshout; and the large-scale interiors of Cuban-in-exile Armando Mariño, whose luminous light and artificial elegance oscillate between seduction and isolation.

These works are complemented by the delicate paper works of MASCH, which capture the special mood of summer with their lightness and clarity, as well as by the intuitive and fragile figurative paintings of British musician and artist James Johnston.
