concert double – the event series for young artists at Zimmer 16.
Double concerts featuring refreshing, diverse and sometimes surprising music and performance.
This time, “concert double” presents:
Heavent
Heavent is a young indie-pop artist from Hamburg. With his smoky, warm voice and a blend of melancholy and hope, he tells stories of an inner fire that is reignited time and again. His music is a journey through twilight and dawn, inviting listeners to pause and give meaning to the small, special moments of life. The cinematic yet minimalist instrumental compositions enhance the emotional depth of his music and add an extra dimension.
REPLEKA
REPLEKA feels at home where bass and emotion meet and never let go again. The Berlin-based artist creates a gripping soundscape between pop, indie and rap, in which his profound, often melancholic lyrics merge with modern beats. Musically inspired by artists such as Paula Hartmann, Schmyt and Nina Chuba, REPLEKA nonetheless develops his own distinctive sound that goes straight from the eardrum to the heart. He sings about towns that feel too small, empty speeches and loneliness; about love, time and the longing for happiness. Somewhere between “raising our glasses to us” and “not wanting to survive the downfall.” In every performance, he invites the audience to fall not only into the sound, but into the moment itself. REPLEKA stands for music that seeks club-level volume but always hits the heart: unique, touching and impossible to ignore.
Taubenraucher
What exactly is a Taubenraucher? First and foremost, a surprise. When people hear “German pop,” they usually have certain expectations and a specific sound in mind. Taubenraucher’s music plays with precisely these elements—building them up and tearing them down again. Early classical vocal training meets a love for harmonic elements drawn from jazz. A completely unique way of writing lyrics meets great creative freedom and strong contrasts in the choice of sound elements. Sometimes highly abstract, sometimes very direct, beautiful and painful. Changeable, unmistakable, and in any case truly special.
