A little story for little ones that explains why firefighters just can’t seem to get a chance to drink their coffee while it’s still hot. It’s as if they’re cursed—no sooner does Fire Captain Wasserhose’s team sit down for a coffee break than the phone rings.

And because the fire department is there to help, they put down their sandwiches and put on their helmets. The fire department is on the scene in a flash, whether at Grandma Eierschecke’s on Coffee Street, at the Swan Pond, at the zoo, or anywhere else in town.
