The reading concert "The Soul of Women - Female Composers in the World of Music" rediscovers the musical works of female composers from various historical periods and presents their music performed on the piano by pianist Maggie S. Lorelli.
Moving texts and letters by the composers will be read aloud by members of Rete Donne Berlino e.V.
The program includes musical pieces by Clara Schumann, Fanny Mendelssohn, Lili and Nadia Boulanger, Mel Bonis, Germaine Tailleferre, and others, as well as contemporary works by Liana Alexandra, Gaby Kapps, Fiona Frank, and other internationally renowned female composers.
The project aims to promote gender equality and celebrates the creativity of female artists who, precisely because they are women, have faced obstacles in their musical endeavors.
