The Altarpiece of the Three Kings, which graced a Berlin Christmas postage stamp in 1985, was created shortly after Hans Baldung left Dürer's workshop. Striking features include the emphasis on the figures, which dominate the composition, the vibrant colors, and the delight in depicting shimmering fabrics and gleaming metal elements.
