11 reading locations – 11 genres – 39 authors. That's what the 9th Reading Night at M8 2026 will be like.
New additions to the 2026 programme are LYRIK-NACHT (Poetry Night), OSSI-NACHT (Ossi Night) and RUNDFUNK-NACHT (Radio Night).
Unusual reading venues such as the ALPHA 2 clay house, the village church in Alt-Marzahn, the Lessing car dealership and the ADTV Kotzur dance school invite you to listen for the ninth time.
The Mark Twain District Central Library will host the YOUNG PHILOSOPHICAL NIGHT. Cassy, Tim Gärtner, Vivian Victoria Nestler, Vivienne Pabst and Sanya Lehmann will read texts dealing with growing up and the perspectives of young people.
The Volunteer Agency is participating for the first time in 2026 as a supporter and reading venue.
We welcome well-known and new performers to the 9th Reading Night: You may have already seen Gisela Oechelhaeuser, Vincent Kliesch, Britta Wulf and Peter Bause at one of the previous Reading Nights. In 2026, Abini Zöllner, Adrian Kostré, Patricia Pantel, Andreas Kessler, Elisabeth Wesuls and Gerd Adloff, among others, will be appearing for the first time. Experience cabaret, travel stories, poetry, erotica and much more.
With one ticket, you can attend up to three readings of your choice.
Of course, you can stay in one place.
However, the special thing about the reading night on the M8 is that you can move from place to place. 45-minute breaks between readings give you the opportunity to change locations. Get into conversation with each other and enjoy the evening.
- Saturday, 17 January 2026, from 6:30 p.m. along the M8 tram line in Marzahn-Hellersdorf
(Programme in German)
