by Ana Jordão

a body and other objects explores the tension between gravity and weightlessness, physicality and objectivity, reality and illusion. The piece repeatedly challenges perception and reveals the unimagined possibilities that arise when people let go of conventional notions about a body's capabilities.

Through deep trust and a finely tuned collaboration, Ana and Vincent create an intimate space in which the mechanisms of connection are revealed. Bodies and objects are inextricably linked and intertwined, sometimes through touch, sometimes with the help of ropes. Snap hooks, ropes, and splicing needles take center stage as Ana and Vincent reveal the artistry and performative power of rigging. The piece constantly oscillates between illusion and revelation, encouraging us to let go of our doubts before revealing the underlying reality.

Accompanied by Fabian Laute's multifaceted musical compositions, a body and other objects invites us to rediscover the magic of the everyday—as a celebration of the beauty of radical care and the interconnectedness of all things.
