Opera & dance take you off into flights of romance
The genius Peter Tschaikowsky from St. Petersburg, the sports car maniac Giacomo Puccini, and child prodigy Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart are all performed at Berlin's three major opera houses. The houses themselves are impressive with their mostly Neoclassical architecture. Playfully designed sets are a real delight at the Staatsoper Berlin and the Deutsche Oper. The Neuköllner Oper Berlin gives younger performers a chance to perform in alternative productions. Well choreographed dance performances add further flair to Bizet's Carmen, Puccini's Tosca, and Mozart's Magic Flute.
