About the book:
Twelve-year-old Uli comes to a North Sea island for six weeks to relax. However, she expects anything but a holiday there. Because none of the children are voluntarily in the health resort. The homesickness is great, the wind howls around the house, the food tastes awful. Uli finds comfort in her new friends Fritze, Freya and Lieschen. Together they tremble in the cold washroom, help each other to clean shoes and survive even the meanest punishments. But one day Freya disappears. Secretly, the girls set off on a search and find her far out in the mudflats...
