The 16th XPOSED Queer Film Festival Berlin celebrates queerness as an approach, an experience, a perspective on the world. In addition to 13 feature-length films, seven short film programs will be presented with more than 40 queer films from around the world. Some stories show the everyday struggles of queer people, but also offer comfort and hope. The body is celebrated as a site of transformation, binaries are challenged. Dominant patriarchal, colonial, and gender normative histories are rewritten, feminist lines and generational differences are explored.

This year, the focus is on the art of storytelling. Reflections on cinema and filmmaking, on storytelling and documenting, on the visibilities and vulnerabilities that come with "representation" - these themes run like a thread through the program, and especially in the festival's feature films. Different forms, practices and traditions of storytelling are explored, exposing the perennial questions: Who tells a story, why, how and to whom?
