The „Schizzo-Club“ reopens

When Rigaer Straße was still largely squatted and almost every basement housed a bar, club, or exhibition space, the legendary "Schizzo-Tempel" club was located at number 77.

The 1990s in Friedrichshain were marked by upheaval, vacancy, and the brief summer of anarchy. The eviction of the squatters from Mainzer Straße, the reunification of East and West Berlin, and gentrification transformed the neighborhood and continue to do so. Today, the Theater im Kino (Theater in the Cinema) is based in the former "Schizzo" space and is reviving the club's legacy with the performance "Theater Techno Tempel."

Immerse yourself in the world of the 1990s, in the stories, the accounts, and the atmosphere. Explore questions of freedom, security, and community together, and lose yourselves in the dark rooms of the "Schizzo."

The 1990s are here, a time for exploring themes of freedom, security, and coexistence, and lose yourselves in the dark rooms of the "Schizzo."

The Theater im Kino is located in the former "Schizzo" space and is bringing the club back to life with its performance "Theater Techno Tempel."
