The Humboldt Forum as a place for changing perspectives: nowhere is this more evident than on the roof. In 2021, Nigerian artist Emeka Ogboh installed his sound experience The Cosmos - Things Fall Apart on the southern roof terrace.

He takes up the title of the famous novel by Chinua Achebe: ‘Everything falls apart.’ The art on the building responds every hour on the hour with a polyphonic choir in Igbo language to the sound of the dome, cross and bells of Berlin's neighbouring churches.

Emeka Ogboh's works are presented internationally in museums and biennials. (Venice Biennale, documenta 14, Gropius Bau, Gwangju Biennale).

In addition to his work as a visual artist, he is also a musician and DJ. To round off the theme day, he will be playing until sunset. Drinks will be provided by the Baret restaurant.
