Guided Tour of Moabit with Trille Schünke-Bettinger
The Second World War began with the German Wehrmacht’s invasion of Poland on 1 September 1939. This was preceded by the Hitler–Stalin Pact of August 1939, which sealed the partition of Poland between Nazi Germany and the Soviet Union. Millions of Poles were directly affected by the war, occupation, expulsion and extermination.

In Berlin too – and in Moabit – the consequences of the outbreak of this war can be traced: in biographies, addresses, institutions and places that bear witness to the war and its aftermath.
On 1 September – the anniversary of the outbreak of war – Trille Schünke-Bettinger will lead a tour through Moabit, bringing these stories to life in the urban landscape.
