A miller claims that his daughter can spin straw into gold. The king hears this and takes the miller's daughter with him. If she can spin three chambers of straw into gold, she will be his wife. A little man comes to the miller's daughter's aid. But after a year it appears to collect its reward: the queen's first child. The desperate queen now has another chance to keep her child.
