'Against the Course of Things' (praeter rerum seriem), the motet by Renaissance composer Josquin des Prez, is the starting point of this program. Renaissance meets modern meets chamber music. Its instrumentation allows the Trio sprezzatura 22 musical leaps in time.
To the percussion everything can become sound, the lyra polyversalis combines guitar and violin in one, it resembles the clearly drawing lute, to which it is diametrically opposed at the same time. The human voice sums up and puts things in the right perceived relation. Thus, the ensemble cultivates stylistic proprieties and playfully influences the course of things. 'Not for the first time' - Josquin des Prez would remark.
