25th Jazz and Blues Stage Lichterfelde: Jazz Matinee / “Timeless Jazz“
This is perhaps the best way to sum up the international POCKET JAZZ TRIO. Stylistically, the band loves playing between two worlds: on the one hand, a playful trio situation (role models: Ray Brown Trio, Oscar Peterson Trio) with strong spontaneity and wit; and on the other hand, an energetic jazz big band interpretation.

Role model: Count Basie Orchestra, where the audience is carried away by exciting, composed arrangements full of kicks and gripping moments. This jazz puts you in a good mood because it is timeless and swings so casually. The warm, imaginative playing of the Scottish double bassist Roz Macdonald, the dynamic piano sounds of Kenneth Berkel and the sensitive grooves of the Berlin jazz drummer Andreas Kunert give the swing and jazz a very personal and unique coloring.
