Musikfest Berlin: West-Eastern Encounter
Traditional Persian music and its potential for contemporary Western music are the focus of this special programme. Before the Iranian virtuoso Majeed Qadiani plays the traditional instruments Tār and Setār, Wolfgang von Schweinitz transfers the special moods of Persian music into his own musical language in “My Persia”.
