The multimedia hall presentation “Screentime,” prepared by the Deutsche Kinemathek in collaboration with the Chezweitz office, marks the completion of the gradual opening of the Kinemathek's new location in the E-Werk. “Screentime” showcases highlights from film and television history from the Kinemathek's own collections. It combines objects, projections, and archive material to create a contemporary perspective on audiovisual heritage.

On the first three days, the Kinemathek invites the public to attend its program free of charge.

In addition to “Screentime,” there will be a continuous program in the newly built studio cinema, as well as workshops and guided tours of the specialist archives and library.

In recent months, retrospective screenings of the Berlinale, current film premieres, workshops, specialist events, and library and archive visits have already taken place at the new interim location.
