In this family-friendly concert format goldberg family, the group brings Johann Sebastian Bach's Goldberg Variations to the stage twice in one concert afternoon.
In a moderated concert for the whole family (from 6 years), the canons are explained and performed in their subtlety in a vivid and humorous way.
The subsequent get-together gives visitors and musicians the opportunity to exchange ideas in a relaxed atmosphere with free snacks. In the meantime, registered children can already go to the following workshop.
The instrument-making workshop for 6-12 year-olds will be offered as childcare for concertgoers parallel to the following concert. The self-construction of
percussion instruments will be taught by experienced course
by experienced course instructors from the Klangschmiede. (duration 2,5h, up to up to 20 children, by appointment)
In the 2nd concert of the afternoon, the Goldberg Variations can be heard in their entirety.
Johann Sebastian Bach: "Clavier Übung bestehend in einer ARIA mit verschiedenen Verænderungen vors Clavicimbal mit 2 Manualen" in the arrangement for string trio by Dmitri Sitkovetsky, on period instruments. As a string trio, the Aurum Ensemble Berlin is dedicated to performing baroque, classical and romantic works in their original sound.
