Starting June 8, the Federal Foundation Bauakademie will open the "Treffpunkt Bauwende – Blue-Green Building" in cooperation with the Federal Association for Green Buildings (BUGG) and the Berlin Rainwater Agency (BRWA) on the grounds of the Federal Foundation Bauakademie (Schinkelplatz 1, Berlin-Mitte).

The exhibition and interventions demonstrate how cities can adapt to climate change through green roofs and facades, rainwater storage, and infiltration systems. Companies and startups will present concrete solutions—ranging from simple immediate measures to integrated building components.
In collaboration with the Technical University of Berlin, two research projects will be on display, with scientific support provided throughout the exhibition period. Educational panels featuring practical examples from across Germany complement the real-world interventions on the grounds.

The opening reception will take place on June 8, 2026, starting at 7 p.m., featuring, among others, Ministerial Director & Department Head Dirk Scheinemann (BMWSB), Director Dr. Elena Wiezorek (Federal Foundation Bauakademie), President and Managing Director Dr. Gunter Mann (BUGG), and Acting Director Hanna Meyer (BRWA) on the grounds of the Federal Foundation Bauakademie, Schinkelplatz 1, 10117 Berlin.

The exhibition “Treffpunkt Bauwende – Blue-Green Building” is open to the public through mid-October; admission is free, and no registration is required.
Additional information
As part of the accompanying program, three panel discussions with experts are scheduled for July 16, August 26, and October 1, 2026. These dialogue events will focus on the topics of "Water-Conscious Neighborhoods," "Cross-Property Water Management," and "Blue-Green Architecture."
They also offer guided tours for professionals and the interested public, as well as hands-on workshops for anyone who’d rather get started right away.
